Statement by Rick Skinner, Vice President & General Manager, on the Reopening of Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway

While the amenities our customers have come to know and love may be somewhat limited for the time being, the ability to safely welcome back our team members and guests remains our top priority. With this in mind, we have been working closely with Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission, state and local leaders, and public health officials to finalize a comprehensive Phase I reopening protocols and new health and safety precautions. Our returning team members will be trained on these procedures and our guests will see reminder signage about them throughout the property. These new protocols include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

Social Distancing

  • We will limit capacity on our gaming floor and disable approximately 50% of our slot machines, including the removal of chairs.
  • The installation of floor decals and signage to strictly enforce social distancing guidelines in areas where lines typically form.
  • Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Double Deck BJ, and various carnival games (Mississippi Stud, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em, Pai Gow, and Three Card Poker) have reopened with limited seating.
  • Live music and entertainment will remain suspended.
  • There will be no large drawings, tournaments, gift giveaways or special events.
  • Restaurant offerings are limited to Marquee Café and prepackaged sandwiches from Boulevard & Sunset Bar.
  • Marquee Café now open and offering a limited menu of Americana favorites.
  • Epic Buffet, Turn2, Final Cut, VIP Lounge and Hollywood and Grind will remain closed.
  • The poker room and valet will remain closed.
  • All customers can be dropped off at the Main Entrance or may enter the property through the West Entrance.
  • Preferred, Elite and Owners will enter the property through the garage, utilizing the VIP parking lot for an expedited VIP entrance.

Health & Safety

  • To remain in compliance with our state and local health guidelines, to enter Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway, guests are required to wear face masks. Exceptions will be made for guests who are actively eating, drinking and smoking in the approved locations.
  • Team members will be required to wear masks and will undergo a health screening each day, including temperature checks, prior to their shift.
  • Customers must have a valid ID to enter the property. (Approved ID’s consist of Driver’s License, Passport, Green Card, or Military ID)
  • Prior to entry, customers will be required to have their temperature checked, respond to a health screening and must wear masks. The customer must show their face when entering the property.
  • Slot machines will be thoroughly and regularly cleaned throughout the day and night. Table games will also be cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis.
  • Table games players must wear a mask while seated at a gaming table. All players must also sanitize their hands prior to entering and before leaving the table.
  • Sanitizer stations have been installed on the casino floor and are readily available throughout the facility.
  • We have expanded the non-smoking area of the gaming floor.
  • The property will close from 2 a.m. – 8 a.m. every day for deep cleaning and sanitization of the property.

Masks

Casino

Open Daily: 8 a.m. – 2 a.m.
We will close from 2 a.m. – 8 a.m. every day for deep cleaning and sanitization of the property.

We’re currently not allowing any food, drinks or smoking at the table.

*Due to the nature of table games, it may not be possible to maintain a physical distance of 6-feet or more from others. You should understand this additional risk, especially if you are someone that might experience severe complications from the COVID-19 disease.

Will reopen Monday, June 8 at 11 a.m.

Epic Buffet: Closed

Turn2: Closed

Final Cut: Closed

Hollywood & Grind: Closed

Boulevard & Sunset Bar: Full-service bars and offerings of prepackaged sandwiches.

Entertainment

All live entertainment is suspended at this time.

At this time the valet will remain closed.
